Paul & Loughran has considerable knowledge and expertise in the design and fabrication of a wide range of pressure vessels in accordance with
For all codes we employ tried and tested software, PVElite, Finglow and Ohmtech with the exception of AS1210 for which we have in-house developed software. We have experience with the application of all external loads such as nozzle loads / moments, wind, seismic, blast, transport, ships motions, fatigue etc. Paul & Loughran also have the capability to use NozzlePRO Finite Element Analysis, where the normal standard limits are exceeded.
Pressure vessels can be supplied in a wide range of materials of construction. Our experience includes carbon steel, austenitic stainless steels (most grades), Chrome-moly, Duplex and Super Duplex st.st., 6Mo, and titanium.
All of our welders are coded for a wide variety of welding processes to suit the materials listed above. New weld procedures and welder qualifications, if required, can be quickly developed in-house, witnessed by Lloyds inspectors and tested locally by an approved test house.
All vessels are inspected visually and using NDE procedures, performed by independent, fully qualified subcontractors to ensure high quality. As and when necessary, independent Third Party Inspection Authorities are employed to oversee both the design and fabrication, culminating at the hydro pressure test.
In line with the EU Pressure Equipment Directive, all vessels fabricated for use in the European Union are CE marked for which we have considerable experience, using a recognised Third-Party Inspector.
